After the August Revolution was successful, day and night the train took the Southern armies from the localities to the South against the French. In 1954, Viet Minh forces took over Hang Co station. In 1972, the station was hit by a massive American Empire bomb. The great hall house, where the grand clock of the station was hung, was completely destroyed and from here, trains and trucks all had to run at night.
